We are the 44th (East Essex) Regiment of Foot Living History Society. Founded in 2000, we represent the 44th Foot in the rough period 1808-1815 and take part in Napoleonic events throughout the UK and Europe. A member of the Napoleonic Association, we join other units to put on displays for the public, furthering their and our own understanding of what life was like.
